INSPECTION
We begin by carefully screening all pre-owned Volkswagens – choosing only cars that
have been well cared for, and are mechanically sound an in excellent condition. Next, we
subject each car to a comprehensive 112-point inspection by a certified Volkswagen
technician. Only the cars that pass this rigorous inspection are good enough to be
certified. And only then do we back them with the Volkswagen Certified Program.

WHICH CARS QUALIFY
Only pre-owned, current year Volkswagens, and those from the five preceding model years
– with up to 75,000 miles/120,000 kilometers and no more than six months new car
warranty remaining – are eligible to qualify. But, before a Volkswagen is certified,
it has to pass a 112-point inspection.

KILOMETERS LIMITED WARRANTY
What Is Covered
Volkswagen will pay for repairs to correct a defect in materials or workmanship (except
normal wear and tear) which occur within 24 months of 24,000 miles/40,000 kilometers from
the date of purchase, whichever occurs first.
The Warranty offers an impressive range of
coverage, including but not limited to these major systems:

the specific warranty terms and limitations.
Any implied warranty, including any implied
warranty of merchantability or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, is limited in
duration to the period of this written warranty. Some states/provinces do not allow
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to
you.
WARRANTY REPAIRS FREE OF CHARGE
2 YEAR/24-HOUR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
When you purchase a pre-owned Volkswagen, you’ll receive two years of complimentary
coverage from the American Automobile Club (AAA). If you ever need road service, help is
only a phone call away – 24 hours a day in the U.S. or Canada. When you call the 24
hour toll-free number, the dispatch center will send a service vehicle to your assistance.
In such instances, you just the sign the bill and drive away!
CORROSION PERFORATION LIMITED
WARRANTY
Every qualified pre-owned Volkswagen also comes with what’s left of the original new
car Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty, regardless of mileage. So the beauty and value
of your Volkswagen should remain for many year to come.
WARRANTY REPAIRS PERFORMED BY
AUTHORIZED VOLKSWAGEN DEALERS IN THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA, OR AUTHORIZED VOLKSWAGEN
SERVICE CENTERS
Except as set forth under "Emergency Repairs," warranty repairs must be
performed by an authorized Volkswagen dealer or authorized Volkswagen Service Center in
the United States or Canada. This warranty does not apply outside the United States or
Canada.
EMERGENCY REPAIRS
In the even that it is impossible or unreasonable in an emergency to drive or tow the
vehicle to the nearest authorized Volkswagen dealer, Volkswagen will reimburse to the
purchase the reasonable cost of warranty repairs performed by service facilities other
than an authorized Volkswagen dealer or authorized Service Center. (See your dealer for
details.)
THIS WARRANTY IS TRANSFERABLE
This warranty is available to the original purchaser of each eligible pre-owned Volkswagen
and it is transferable to subsequent owner(s) for a fee of $150. (Remaining powertrain and
corrosion warranties are automatically transferred.)
WHAT’S NOT COVERED
The Volkswagen Certified Limited Warranty does not cover scheduled maintenance services
described in the vehicle’s maintenance manual (including filters, lubricants, fluids,
wheel alignments and balancing, idle speed and other adjustments unless necessary for a
covered warranty repair.
Normal wear and tear, damage or malfunction
due to misuse, alteration, accident such as fire, including improper repair of the
vehicle, use of the vehicle in competitive events and failure to follow manufacturer
recommended maintenance requirements, also are excluded.
